Our class hand fed this poor deformed butterfly for three weeks!  We fed him sugar water and lots of fresh fruit.  Apple was his favourite.  He had a long coiled tongue which he would roll out and suck up the liquid.  Slurp!
He tried and tried to fly.  We would often see him flapping his wings furiously. 




We are so glad the weather is getting warmer.  We will see more butterflies.

Swimming

Everyday we have swimming. We have people who are learning to get their faces wet by playing ring-a-rosie. Some of us are learning to kick so the water bubbles. And some of us are learning to do freestyle without splashing the water by cupping our hands. On Fridays we get to practice our swimming by having free time. It is fun! Today we made a whirlpool. We made it go fast and it started dragging us. Then we went the other way. It was hard because the water was pushing us back. When we finished the water was pushing us along.
