Our Gardens

Shakshi and Tarn are learning to use a flip video. They used it to video our gardens. It was their first time filming with it and they have done a great job. We are looking forward to seeing what they film next. 
Listen carefully to the birds when they are filming in the Kitchen Garden.

    That looks like a nice garden that we have. It looks nice because the plants are small and trees are big ,So the trees give a good background for the plants. from Yusuf

We read the book The Tree House Treaty by Wiremu Grace.   The children in the story built a tree hut in a big old Pohutakawa tree.  They made a treaty to agree how they could all use their tree hut fairly. Swimming

Everyday we have swimming. We have people who are learning to get their faces wet by playing ring-a-rosie. Some of us are learning to kick so the water bubbles. And some of us are learning to do freestyle without splashing the water by cupping our hands. On Fridays we get to practice our swimming by having free time. It is fun! Today we made a whirlpool. We made it go fast and it started dragging us. Then we went the other way. It was hard because the water was pushing us back. When we finished the water was pushing us along.
