Growing seeds

Today we planted some seeds. We planted capsicum, sunflower and pea seeds. We had to use special soil called Seed Raising Mix. This soil has nutrients in it to help the seeds grow healthy. We put some soil into containers and then we planted the seeds. We poked a finger into the soil so we knew how deep to put the seed. We used the watering can to water the seed containers. Next we tricked the sun..... (Ha! Ha! Ha!) We covered the containers with plastic bags and put paper on top. This will keep the seeds warm and make them think it is time to start growing. When our plants have grown we might give some of our plants to other classes and we will grow the plants in the Kitchen Garden.
